Captured using FRAPS, I went ahead and compiled gameplay footage I took in Saint's Row 2 using both Highest settings then Lowest settings, added some notes about the framerates I get in each situation, and posted it here on youtube. From the PC Version of Saints Row 2 Game Display Settings: Ambient Occlusion: Changes ambient lighting passes, adjusts ambient brightness and colors (off, simple, all). Off: No ambient occlusion passes. Simple: Only outdoor ambient occlusion passes are made. All: Outdoor and indoor ambient occlusion passes are made. Motion Blur: Adds blurring effects when rotating and moving the camera. Shadows: Changes the size of shadow maps (off, simple, all). Affects dynamic object shadows: character shadows, vehicle shadows, tree shadows, bench, chair, table shadows, etcetera. HDR: High Dynamic Range. Alters color vibrancy and darkness. Also adds a 'glow' effect to the screen. Dynamic Lighting: Changes rendering lighting passes in the game world (off, simple, all). Off: No dynamic lighting enabled; no shadows. Simple: Dynamic lights are enabled only when outside. All: Dynamic lights are enabled both outside and inside. NOTE: With Dynamic Lighting set to Off, all shadows will be disabled, even if the actual "Shadows" display setting is enabled. My Computer Specifications: Nvidia 9600GT, 256mb Intel Core2 Duo 3.16ghz 4GB RAM Windows Vista 64-bit Home Premium Recorded using FRAPS. Screenshots taken using FRAPS.
